they are a decentralized data base that basically shares information across applications and organizations. the data can not be changed and is is completley decentralized. there is also no central point of control. media chain uses the bitcoin blockchain this allows digital creators to attach information to there work. media chain is interesting because when you are listening to the music there is a video after you can watch to really understand what that artist is talking about
