Decentraland is a decentralized game run on the Ethereum blockchain. The Decentraland world consists of 90,000 unique plots of land that can be purchased as NFTs. On these plots of land players can create and design scenes, games, challenges, and display NFT art work. Purchasing multiple pieces of LAND next to eachother allows you to start and estate and expand your build limits. Like most other blockchain based games or systems, Decentraland has a market place where people can use MANA to buy in game items like cosmetics, plot's of land, in game art, and even usernames. LAND often fetches very high prices.

Honestly, it seems that Decentraland has only gained attraction because it's a first of it's kind. Besides it being one of the leaders in blockchain gaming, the game it self is lagging multiple years behind modern day gaming. The level of graphics Decentraland offers was surpassed in the earlier 2000's, and the game is rather slow and choppy. It's way overhyped and will probably be forgotten once more companies start to develop higher quality blockchain based games.
