They are a blockchain cryptocurrency, and is currently fifth on the list of the top cryptocurrencies. They are known for their fast trasaction speeds of thousands/ second, compared to the 13/ second of Bitcoin, and a low transaction fee of about one cent/ transaction. They are involved in the smart contract world (although only having 1/7th the amount of smart contracts as Ethereum), and large in the NFT market.

I think they have a lot of room to grow rapidly, although for that to happen they would need to take control of the smart contracts market, which Ethereum is not going to give up. They also have a very high number of coins added each year at almost 8%, which might cause massive inflation. On the positive side, they are much more eco- friendly and have an edge over others in that field, and have been growing pretty rapidly in the past.
